Honeysuckle Invasives Walk

Join the Medford-Brooks Estate along with Dan Bender from Wilderscaping as we learn about honeysuckle.

This walk will include the three listed invasive honeysuckles: vine: Japanese honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), and shrubs: Morrow’s honeysuckle (Lonicera morrowii), Tatarian honeysuckle (Lonicera tataric) and the hybrid Bell’s Honeysuckle (Lonicera x bella).

We will also review the natives that people should be aware of: vines: wild honeysuckle (Lonicera dioica) & Trumpet Honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens) and shrubs: Northern Bush Honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera), and American honeysuckle (Lonicera canadensis)

Walk-ins welcome, but please click here to register ahead of time if possible! Meet at the green gate on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 11am. Please refer to the bottom of this page for parking instructions.
